Late last month, Ipanema teamed up with the Haribon Foundation for an environmentally cause-worthy endeavor. Together, they launched a walkathon called “Walk the Green Mile” to further make Filipinos aware of environmental issues surrounding us today.
It was held at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig last March 21, 2009 where more than 200 participants walked around Bonifacio High Street in beats and in cheers. Aside from ELRO Corporation, other supporters of the event were GMA Broadcasting, The Manila TImes, Aquabest, and Coca-Cola.
It was followed by a launch and fashion show of the Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Seeds Collection, especially designed in support of environmental campaigns and programs.
With every pair of the Ipanema Gisele Bündchen Seeds Collection sold, part of the revenue will be donated to the reforestation efforts worldwide, including that of Haribon Foundation, locally.
They hope maintain this partnership and make this an annual activity. For inquiries about the Walk the Green Mile, please contact ELRO Corporation Ms. Maricel Mabalot at 7533647 to 48 local 103 or email cel.mabalot@elrocom.com.
