September 10 is a non-working holiday, the Palace declares. This is to give way for the festivities for Ramadan / Eid ul Fit’r – end of the holy month of fasting by the Muslims.

The president has signed Proclamation 26 declaring September 10 as a non-working holiday to enable our Muslim brothers to celebrate the ninth month of the Islamic calendar which symbolize purification after completing the fasting month of Ramadan.

For the non-Muslims, it would be another treat for a three-day long weekend from September 10 (non-working Philippine holiday Ramadan) to September 12.
