First runner-up Miriam Odemba of Tanzania is Miss Earth Air. Miss Mexico is Earth Water and Miss Brazil, Earth Fire .
The beauty pageant aims to raise awareness on environmental issues particularly global climate change. This year’s theme was about “Green Lifestyle.” It intends to encourage caring and preservation of the environment and promote appreciation of nature.
Miss Philippines met Sago in a Clear Halloween Black Night party last Oct.31, 2008 at Taste Asia, Mall of Asia. She was all smiles and accommodating to all who wanted to have a photo with her. She was not able to hide her surprise upon meeting Sago and holding him for a portrait shot. =)
