Pico Sands Hotel: Being At Home in Pico De Loro
I thought Hamilo Coast‘s Pico De Loro cove in Nasugbu, Batangas was only exclusive to residential owners and club members. And enjoying this part of paradise will not be possible for the regular onlooker. However, albeit exclusive, it is also open to members’ guests and Pico Sands Hotel can be your home away form home.
Pico Sands Hotel Room
Having opened only last October 2011, I’m glad to have the opportunity of staying at Pico Sands Hotel a week ago with some friends. Each of the 154-rooms in the hotel is designed to capture a specific view of the community – from the serene lagoon to the lush mountains. As much as I hoped for the lagoon side (or better yet the Penthouse Loft), a friend and I got the Premiere Mountain View room (P6,500 per night; children below 12 is free) with two queen size beds at the second floor. Awesome room nonetheless. 🙂
Room Amenities
The room came with standard modern amenities such as remote-controlled air-conditioning, high-def Cignal cable TV (both Samsung), and a safety-deposit box. It’s also blogger friendly with free Wi-Fi at decent speeds.
The bedding is very comfortable and the bathroom essentials are complete; disposable slippers which I always look for is not missing either. The only thing I didn’t like was the non-adjustable shower head’s sprinklers. I’m used to controlling the sprinkler size (or the amount of water coming out) but this one is fixed. The holes are a little too tight and it’s not comfortable to the skin. I’m just not sure if the same is true for all rooms.
Hotel Spa
After the day tour around Pico De Loro, we capped the night of at the hotel’s Rain Spa which had a spanking Couple’s Room complete with a jacuzzi and a personal steam room. It’s hard to find all these amenities in just one big couple’s room. All these for only less than a thousand per head.
Restaurant
The fresh morning came and we had buffet breakfast at Pico Restaurant and Bar which both has indoor and alfresco dining. I heard they regularly serve ala carte but usually have buffet on Sunday mornings. It’s also open 24/7 for the anytime-tummy-call.
Other Amenities
The landscaped swimming pool area at the back of the hotel offer a great view of the surrounding mountains, and child-friendly too. The crew are also very friendly and helpful clad in light colored shirts and khaki pants lending you shades of summer whole-year round.
Over-all, it was a very comfortable and hassle-free stay in Pico Sands Hotel. Oh, and we haven’t discussed the other awesome finds around Pico De Loro and the facilities surrounding Pico Sands Hotel including the residential community, a modern-designed chapel ideal for weddings, and the elegant Beach and Country Club that boasts of the beautiful Pico De Loro cove – soon in Lets Go Sago!

The Premiere Mountain View room (P6,500 per night; children below 12 is free) with two queen size beds
i would love to visit but i don’t know anyone who’s a member
is the P6,500 net? and as a guest checked in at pico sands hotel, do you still need to pay 1000 for the guest fee to make use of all the amenities of beach/country club?
Hi Renee,
As per Pico Marketing Manager:
“the 6,500 is net already but that is for a standard room only, 1 kingsize bed and good for 2 pax only. No need to pay the 1k for use of amenities.”
i called the hotel and was informed only 6 guests can be accomodated by 1 member for weekends and 10 guests for weekdays. we are 3 groups with total of 15 heads. is there a chance we can get in with just 1 member?
