Singapore Airlines Expands Europe Destinations, New Flights to Madrid
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is expanding its services to Europe with increased flight frequencies to key destinations and a new service to Madrid, giving Filipino travelers more options when planning their journeys.
More Options to European Destinations
In response to demand for air travel to Europe, SIA is progressively increasing flights to Manchester, Milan, Munich, and London Gatwick.
- Manchester: Flights increase from five times weekly to daily.
- London Gatwick: SIA will step up its second London Gatwick tranche to a daily operation during the Northern Winter 2026 operating season. This will complement SIA’s existing daily services, SQ312 and SQ309, to London Gatwick, and SIA’s four daily services to London Heathrow, bringing SIA’s total London services to up to six-times daily.
- Milan: Flights increase from four times weekly to daily from 25 October 2026.
- Munich: A new three-times-weekly service launches on 26 October 2026, bringing SIA’s total Munich services to 10 times weekly.

Introducing Madrid, SIA’s New European Destination
SIA will also launch five-times-weekly services between Singapore and Madrid via Barcelona, making Madrid SIA’s 15th European destination and second in Spain when the new service launches on 26 October 2026. SIA will operate the Airbus A350-900 long-haul variant with 253 seats on the Singapore-Barcelona-Madrid route.
Madrid is known for its museums, the grandeur of the Royal Palace of Madrid, and its role as both a cultural magnet and a business and financial hub for Europe and Latin America—offering travelers from the Philippines a compelling blend of leisure and commerce.
Ms. Liwei Tai, General Manager Philippines, Singapore Airlines, said: “Europe continues to be a popular destination for Filipino travelers, and these network enhancements reflect SIA’s commitment to meeting that demand with greater choice and connectivity. The addition of Madrid as our 15th European destination in Europe, alongside increased frequencies to Manchester, London Gatwick, Milan and Munich, will provide Filipinos more convenient options to connect to destinations in Europe via our Singapore hub.
As we celebrate 60 years of service in the Philippines this year, we will continue to invest in our network and products, to deliver a high-quality end-to-end travel experience for our customers.”
Tickets for the new Madrid service and additional European routes are available via SIA’s distribution channels, with tickets now on sale today and additional services released progressively.
