Of WordCamps, Blog Awards, and September
Two of the most awaited events in blogosphere are happening in the next few weeks. First to materialize on September 4 is WordCamp Davao to be held in Bryan’s Grill and Cafe. Two days after, this would be followed by the bigger WordCamp Manila taking place at College of St. Benilde along Taft Ave. And finally, the long-awaited Philippine Blog Awards will be staged at One Esplanade, Manila on the 21st of the same month. Ok, they’re technically three. =)
WordCamp Philippines 2008

Said to be the first in Southeast Asia, WordCamp Philippines would house developers and users of the open source WordPress CMS and blogging platform, the same engine where this blog is running on. =) Lectures and discussions will be conducted within the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater where sessions are divided into development and deployment tracks. WordPress enthusiast can check the event details here.

2008 Philippine Blog Awards
On their second year, the Philippine Blog Awards will once again recognize outstanding Filipino-owned blogs from around the world covering personal interests to relevant issues and events. Nominations that started a few months ago will culminate on the anticipated awarding night of September 21 which would surely be well attended. Visit their website here.

And you know what? Sago will be attending both the WordCamp Manila and the blog awards! Photo op! See you there! =)
