Let’s Go Sago revisited Coron, Palawan last week staying at Club Paradise Resort. And as you might know, one of the activities you should not miss in Coron is island hopping in which our first stop was the Maquinit HotSpring.
Known for its health benefits and relaxing results, Maquinit HotSpring is a favorite among senior citizens. Nonetheless, travelers, backpackers, and couples like us can enjoy the warm dip as well.

Maquinit “Mainit” Hot Spring
The facilities are basic on the standard of provincial island living. The remparature of the water can reach as hot as 41 degrees celsius so be careful specially if you have a heart condition or high blood. There can be some moss as well on the flooring of the man-made enclosure controlling the flowing hot spring.
There is a Php 200 (US$ 5) entrance fee per person which I find a bit heavy specially for local tourists.
Travel Tip: As crowds can get big during summer in the Philippines. You may want to visit the place during off-peak season. When we went there, it was just our boat of 5pax. Before we left, a Korean couple came and that’s all. Be careful with slippery rocks as well
