What Lies in Calaguas and Bagasbas?

Much have been heard by my ears about the spectacular beach of Calaguas Island in Camarines Norte and Bagasbas Beach of Daet.

This weekend, the speculations will be put to rest as Sago, Ada, and I pack light for a 2-day adventure to Calaguas and Bagasbas.

This trip is actually sponsored by our friendly, young, and hip travel agency – The Travel Factor. Ada is joining us being the grand winner of this tour (prize) in last year’s “Let’s Go Surfing” which was LetsGoSago.net’s first year anniversary charity event.

We’ll be leaving Friday night so we’d be missing out on the Adidas Street Party in Fort Bonifacio. Anyhow, our meet up point is El Pueblo in Ortigas. We’ll be back in the morning of May 10, 2010 just in time to fulfill our duty as Filipino citizens and participate in the national Elections by voting  and watching our votes as online citizens participating in the #juanvote campaign.

It would be a break from all the resort-pampered trips of Sago this summer as this adventure involves a close-to-nature tent camping on the beach. It reminds me of the similar back-to-basics lifestyle in Lahuy Island when we visited Caramoan years ago.

Nonetheless, I believe that the loss in comfort would be made-up with the scenic beach of Calaguas of Camarines Norte and the surfing opportunity in Daet’s Bagasbas.(See you on May 10, 2010 when we come back. Go NoyNoy-Bayani! The online community is encouraged to use the #juanvote hashtag for their reports and social comments on May 10, 2010.)

  1. Hi! Which bus did you take to Vinzon’s Port? Does it go straight to the port or do you have to take a trike/jeep at any point?

Also, where do you get boats that will take you to Calaguas?

    Thanks!

  2. @Pia – we had a chartered tour bus from Manila that brought us to Vinzon’s port.

WHen you get to Vinzon’s port, there are a number of boats which can bring you to Calaguas islands. 🙂
