Rediscovering Singapore

As you are reading this post, I’m aboard Singapore Airlines en route to Singapore, perhaps trying to get some sleep due to lack of it as caused by packing and writing this post at 2am earlier.
Ok, honestly, I was too excited to sleep. I don’t know why. I’m usually this excited only when it is my first time to travel to a place. I’ve been to Singapore in 2008 and 2009. This would be my third.
I think it’s the thought of going to the new Marina Bay Sands. I only see it on the Internet, magazines, and TV, having only opened late last year.
I can still remember when I was watching the last season of The Amazing Race Asia where The Richards (Philippine Team) won an accommodation/tour to the Marina Bay Sands for landing first in the pit stop of a certain leg. How much I wished I could be there too.
And today, at 5:30pm, that will come true. 🙂 It’s high time to rediscover Singapore, I guess.

Here is brief itinerary of what else we will be exploring in Singapore:
March 24 (Thursday)
- Wild Rocket
- ArtScience Museum
- Marina Bay Sands – Shops
- Marina Bay Sands Skypark (+ Ku De Ta)
- Rasapura Masters (Marina Bay Sands)
- The Original Lion King Musical Show (Marina Bay Sands)
March 25 (Friday)
- Resorts World Singapore (RWS)
- Universal Studios Singapore (USS)
- 4D Magix – Sentosa
- Luge – Sentosa
- Festive Walk – Baits Restaurant
- Voyage de la Vie Show
March 26 (Saturday)
- Vivo City
- Garuda Padang (Vivo City)
- Orchard Road
- Marina Square
- Suntec
- Singapore Food Trail (New)
- Lantern (Fullerton Bay Hotel)
March 27 (Sunday)
- Free Day
- Jumbo Seafood Restaurant (East Coast Seafood Centre)
- Depart to Changi Airport
Accommodations:
Wanderlust & The Legend (Hotel Fort Canning)
In summary, Day 1 is Marina Bay Sands Day, Day 2 is Resorts World Singapore Day, Day 3 is shopping tour day, and Day 4 is a free day for us. I’m really looking forward to visiting Marina Bay Sands.

I wonder if I would be able to pass by Sago Lane near Maxwell Food Center (Chinatown) again. 🙂
Aside from the Marina Bay Sands main highlight, I am also excited for the Singapore Food Trail. I heard it’s Singapore’s newest major foodie spot right beside the Singapore Flyer (the last time I went there in 2009, it was just an empty lot/parking lot). 🙂

I would like to thank the Singapore Tourism Board for this media familiarization opportunity to see the new and transformed Singapore. Indeed, every time I go back to Singapore, there is something new to discover.
