22nd Philippine Travel Mart 2011 Set

Do you already have travel plans for next year’s summer season? Or even further into this year’s rainy weather if nothing stops your itchy feet? Then this kind of sale is for you – the 22nd Philippine Travel Mart 2011‘s ‘Biyahe Sale ng Bayan!’
This coming September 2 to 4, 2011, the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), Inc. is organizing an inbound travel sale event with the most extensive coverage of the tourism and travel industry in the Philippines – the 22nd Philippine Travel Mart (PTM)!
This year, they are adopting “Philippines, Your Bestfriend in Asia” to cater all guests and visitors the services offered by the frontliners of Philippine Tourism. “From the Cordilleras to the southernmost tip of our Mindanao islands, one can span the beauty and richness of our tourism and culture in one single venue; upcoming, new and popular destinations right at consumers’ fingertips,“says the PTM website.
Sale Package
Benchmarking on the previous years’ success of “BIYAHE SALE NG BAYAN,” this once-in-a-year offer makes corporate outings and great adventure trips with family much more affordable. Focus is given on the Department of Tourism‘s Island Getaways. (Check the package rates here)
Most would find this event as an opportunity to book and buy tours, hotel accommodations, airfares, seafares, adventure tours and packages, health and wellness packages, and travel packages at a great discount.
Expect to catch event-exclusive airfare deals as well. This time, you don’t have to battle it out online with slow internet connection and bugged-down company internet servers. 🙂

High Visitor Turn-Out and New Venue SMX
Having registered 143,535 visit hit rates in last year’s 21st PTM, PHILTOA expects a bigger crowd this year with the prevalence of the internet and social media which spreads information faster and more effective.
For the first time, PTM is moving to a new and bigger home this year in SMX Convention Center beside SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City (the previous years were held in SM Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City).

For Tour Operators and Corporate Buyers Too
The Philippine Travel Mart is also for tour operators and corporate buyers. Day One (10am-12nn) is exclusive for corporate buyers, both foreign and local, and business associations. They are given the chance to visit and meet the exhibitors in PTM on an exclusive basis.
The fair opens to the general public after lunch or 12nn, September 2.
Special Events
The Philippine Travel Mart has also set an exciting line-up of special events to ensure patronage from the different provinces as well as the greater Manila area consumers.
The traditional Bituin ng Kasuotang Filipino (a competition of the most beautiful gowns by local designers using indigenous fabrics) will be given a new twist. The Best Exhibit Display will focus on Beyond the Usual; seminars/mini-trainings for students and practitioners in the travel industry awaits registered participants.

Celebrating their silver anniversary this year, the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA), Inc. is a non-stock and non-profit organization of tour operators and allied members involved in the advocacy of responsible tourism. Members include travel agencies, hotel, resorts, transportation companies, handicraft stores, and other tourism-oriented establishments and association.
