The much-awaited unveiling of Discovery Samal took place on July 21, 2023, officially opening its doors to guests.

Held at the plenary of the resort, a symbolic cutting of the ribbon ceremony was led by Discovery Samal President Beatrice Gonzalez-Magallanes and General Manager Stanley Lau. Island Garden City of Samal Mayor Al David Uy also commenced the ceremony. The cutting of the ribbon is followed by the blessing of the resort, officiated by Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D. of the Archdiocese of Davao.
