Hot Air Balloon Festival – Day 01
It’s now 2am of Feb 11, the first day of the 15th Hot Air Balloon Festival 2010, and I’m still awake.

Actually, I’m finishing some work and task before we leave for Clark in Angeles, Pampanga in an hour. Thanks to fellow blogger Iris with whom I’m hitching a ride with 2 more blogger friends heading to the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
Earlier, I came from Ayala Mall’s admin office to get my media pass for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. I came about 5:15pm, past business hours, but thanks to Trisha Narciso of Marquee Mall and Ms. Mench Dizon of Ayala for the assistance and I still got my media access ID.

Marquee Mall joins the festivities of the Hot Air Balloon Festival from Feb 11-14 with their own showcase of a tethered hot air balloon offering rides to the public, among others. This is the first time Ayala malls will be participating in the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
After which I proceeded to Fort Bonifacio to pick up the 12MP camera. Thanks Ed!.

We’re taking the faster NLEX-SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway Interchange Road) route which leads to Clark South exit. Passing through the North Luzon Expressway (skipping the Dau exit) upto the SCTEX and eventually the Clark South exit through the Yokohama complex and turn right to Manuel Roxas highway.
An alternative to NLEX-SCTEX route is the NLEX-Dau. Check directions here. See this very helpful map from PhilBalloonFest.net as well.

So stay tuned to this blog as I update it later on with some Day 01 photos of the Hot Air Balloon Festival.
Update: 9pm Feb 11, 2010:
