Philippine Christmas Holidays – December 2010
The Philippine 2010 Holidays, more specifically the December Christmas Holidays, were recently updated by the new administration. It lists December 24, 25, 27, & 31 as Philippine holidays.
This was after Pres. Benigno Aquino III’s government moved to support the previous years’ Philippine holiday economics law (Republic Act 9492), hence producing the two long weekend with special non-working holidays December 24 and 31.
December 25 is Christmas Day, while December 27 is Rizal Day (Dec 30 moved to nearest Monday). And of course, January 1, 2011, New Year’s Day, is also a regular Philippine holiday.
Identified Christmas Philippine Holidays this December are:
December 24 – Christmas Eve**
December 25 – Christmas Day *
December 27 – Monday nearest Rizal Day *
December 31 – New Year’s Eve**
* Regular Holiday
** Special Non-Working Holiday
Well then, In that light, Merry Christmas, a Patriotic Rizal Day, and Happy New Year to all of you! Enjoy the Christmas Philippine Holidays this December 2010. 🙂
