Juan for Fun Backpacker Challenge Starts Today!
I am excited for the five (5) student team finalists I met earlier in the presscon of the first-ever “Juan for Fun” Backpacker Challenge organized by Cebu Pacific.
The 15 students are the product of an earlier search for the Juan for Fun Backpacker Challenge contestants which tapped students from universities. A total of 97 video entries from 60+ schools were submitted in the duration of the contest search.
Having been part of the Media Backpacker Challenge for the past two years, I somehow know the types of adventure in store for them.
Aside from the awesome prizes of 12 Cebu Pacific tickets, 3 hotel accomodations, and 3 Canon S3 Cameras, it’s the experience of fun and adventure that they will get from the 5 Philippine destinations across 5 days. Armed with Php 30,000 for each team of three, it’s pure awesomeness and adrenaline combined hopping from one beautiful scenery to another from August 29 (today) until September 2, 2012 .
They are going to Clark, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro, in that order, and back to Manila on Day 5.
The five teams are the following: “Team BA,” “Team Big Explorers,” “Team Bukidnon,” “Team KeLoFe,” “Team Titans.” Sponsors include Citibank, Canon, Sun Cellular, and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
