June 12, 2010 – Today, the Philippines is celebrating it’s 112th anniversary of independence from foreign rule. Central to the celebration is the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite where the Philippine Flag was first waved more than a century ago.

This year is also extra special as the country will be having a new president proclaimed in a few weeks’ time. The next president represents new hope as the previous administration was clouded with anomalies, and shades of graft and corruption.

We look forward to reforms for a better country, one which we can truly be proud of. A free country where we can travel together and freely discover more of the Philippine’s beauty! A prideful Philippine Independence Day to the Filipino people!
