2014 Philippine International PyroMusical Competition Opens

Let’s Go Sago has always made sure to visit the Philippine International PyroMusical Competition at least once every year so we made sure not to miss the opening night last Sunday, February 15.

This year is the 5th installment of the Philippine International PyroMusical Competition happening every Saturday from February 15, 2014 to March 22, 2014.

Since I am coming from school in Quezon City, my wife went to the venue ahead early in the afternoon to avoid traffic. Surprisingly, traffic jam going to SM Mall of Asia at about 530pm was just like an ordinary Saturday afternoon going to the mall, unlike in the previous years.

I think a big factor was that there were no concerts in the same venue happening at the same time this year.

Anyhow, the program opened without disappointment as Platinum Fireworks, Inc. of the Philippines exhibited awesome fireworks for the opening salvo. First competitor Howard and Sons Fireworks from Australia also showcased awesome coordination of music and lights to cheer the crowd. 🙂
