Forrest Gump Visits Bubba Gump Trinoma

Forrest Gump crashed into Bubba Gump Trinoma’s first year anniversary launch last October 21, 2008.

He came in his trademark get up of classic white suit, Nike shoes and the ever reliable suit case of personal stuff. “I’m not a smart man, but I am the real Forrest Gump, the one they made a movie about…they hired an actor who looks just like me” – Forrest quipped in his recognizable southern accent.

He warmly welcomed us and distributed party hats to add fun to the celebration. Forrest shared with us some treats from his box of chocolates which he carried around the whole time.

He also met Sago with whom he had a short chat about the contents of his suit case. Check out the video of their short interview below.

Bubba Gump Launches New Menu

Just in time for the celebration of Bubbe Gump Trinoma’s first year anniversary, they came up with a number of exciting new dishes such as Dynamite Shrimp and Bubba’s Shrimp Special – Spicy Jambalaya Pasta. I give the latter one a thumbs up!

And for those with lazy fingers similar to mine and like their shrimps in true form, the Grilled Shrimp Salad is heaven sent, served as peeled marinated shrimp, with crispy romaine, red bell peppers, pine nuts, and creamy garlic-cilantro dressing.

Lastly, a great meal is not complete without the dessert. Bubba Gump’s newest is . . . I somewhat forgot what it’s called but sounds like “that chocolate thing.” Allow me, however, to hold back on this one as it deserves an entire new blog post in itself. Doesn’t that just add to the excitment huh? On Oct 27 31, we will know what “That Chocolate Thing” is all about. =)
