Spott3d: La Union’s Urbiztondo Beach

Urbiztondo Beach in San Juan, La Union is one of the most famous and the most visited surfing spots in the Philippines. Perhaps due to its proximity to the country’s capital region – Metro Manila.
Only about 5 hours and 273 kilometers away, Urbiztondo beach is frequented by surf dudes and gals from Manila; perfect for a quickie weekend getaway.
Facing the South China Sea along the country’s western coastline, the beach gets its strong waves starting on the month of September up to March.
