Grand Prix Season Singapore 2011 Lives Louder than Life!

It’s all about living louder than life at this year’s Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) 2011 this coming September 16-25.
Although the 2011 FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX is the centerpiece of the weekend, festivities, races and entertainment also surround the occassion. Check out the GPSS festivities here.
Last year’s Singapore FORMULA ONE race attracted over 244,000 spectators, of which 40% were foreign visitors and generated SGD$160million in incremental tourism receipts.
GPSS returns to complement the world’s only FORMULA ONE night race as tires are not the only things that would leave a trailing blaze on the circuit park. The Season spills over with exciting parties, celebrities, and lifestyle experiences.
“Singapore will come alive with activities, parades, theatrical-visual productions and other showcases for the whole family during GPSS,” said Ms Sherina Chan, Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Area Director for the Philippines and Brunei. “With Filipinos’ love for life, quality parties and entertainment, it is not surprising that GPSS is a well-loved event by many Filipinos,” she added.

A FORMULA ONE ticket allows a fan to access a line-up of more than 300 entertainers, including four Grammy award-winning artists, Singapore’s own local acts and hours upon hours of track action. Aside from the FORMULA ONE night race, visitors can also enjoy the support races like the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and the JK Racing Asia Series ongoing on the track. Ticket prices start at PhP1,300 for a Friday Zone 4 walkabout ticket to PhP45,000 for a three-day Pit Grandstand ticket.
“Building on the glamour of the only FORUMLA ONE night race, we’ve packed the Marina Bay Street Circuit with an extensive entertainment programme featuring the biggest names in music, stunning theatrical-visual productions, retro showcases and electrifying parades,” said Michael Roche, Executive Director, Singapore GP Pte Ltd. “Fans only need the one ticket to enjoy both the thrilling track action and all-day entertainment, making a ticket to the Singapore Grand Prix truly value for money.”
