Let’s Go Sago! Bags GeiserMaclang Transformative Influencer Award; Nokia E75 :)

Sago is happy to announce that Let’s Go Sago! has been recognized in the recent Philippine Blog Awards by GeiserMaclang through the sponsor award – GeiserMaclang Transformative Influencer Award last October 09, 2009.

The award symbolizes and brings to light the blog or the blogger which manifest a substantial influence that can transform the online community. In light of this, I would like to thank GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications, Inc. for appreciating the efforts of Let’s Go Sago! in making a positive change in it’s community of readers and bloggers alike.

Beyond the travel and food related blogs, Let’s Go Sago! took a step further by involving the community in actual projects highlighted by its recent anniversary charity project – Let’s Go Surfing!. With the support of fellow bloggers and financial sponsors, the activity was a success. The participants were able to collectively donate a sum of P15,000 to WWF-Philippines in support of their local operations in continually protecting our environment and the wild-life.

Nokia E75

At the same night, Sago won the grand prize from Nokia – a brand new spanking Nokia E75. It came just in time for my Singapore trip next week for the Nuffnang Asia Blog Awards. It would make an awesome mobile image and video recording gadget for the SIngapore experience.

The prize was further complimented having been awarded by Nokia Corporate Communications Manager for Customer & Market Operations – Ms. Nikka Singson-Abes.

Reader’s Choice & Blogger’s Choice

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all who supported Sago in the Reader’s Choice and Blogger’s Choice category. Although Sago only landed third spot in the Reader’s Choice, I was practically overwhelmed by the turnout of votes – 1044 SMS points and 47 online votes. I never thought that many would actually spend P2.50 per 3pt SMS vote to support Sago (I’m such a cheapskate) 🙂 .

The testimonials of blogposts for the Blogger’s Choice were overwhelmingly heartwarming. Allow me to give back link-love to some of the fellow bloggers who supported Sago in the Blogger’s Choice.
