Quick FAQ

1) I am not a blogger, can I still join?

Answer: Definitely! Go To “How To Join” and click on “Online Registration for Regular Participants

2) I don’t know how to surf, can I still join?

Answer: Of course, that is why it’s entitled surfing clinic. It’s actually for beginners with zero experience. We don’t recommend it for those who already know surfing.

3) I don’t know how to swim, can I still surf?

Answer: Yes, La Union is a famous surf spot for beginning surfers due to its beginner-friendly waves. Aside from having a one-on-one instructor (meaning his focus is all on you), the beginner’s surf spot water level is only 5ft deep such that even if you fall off the board to the water, just stand up on your feet and your head will be pretty much above the waters.

4) We are coming as a family and I’m bringing my 6 yr old kid. Can he already join the surfing class?

Answer: Surfing for beginners has generally no age limit. As long as the child can stand on board and is not afraid of the water, he/she is good to go.

5) What should I be careful of?

Answer: As mentioned in no.3, it is pretty safe being with the instructor. What you should be careful of is not to ‘hit’ other surfers with your surf board while riding the wave. For your part, when at sea, try to avoid other surfer’s wave path.

6) I just want to enjoy the beach, I won’t enroll in the surfing classes, how much should I pay? OR I’m not riding the private bus, I’ll bring my own car ? OR I have my own surfboard, I don’t need to rent from the surfing school.

Answer: For such and similar questions, please email me at [email protected] with subject “Customized Package” for proper quotation and discounts.

  1. I’ve already registered but am confused, the spreadsheet message I got after registering stated 1:30PM as departure? But your blog post is 1:30AM, with the schedule, I’m guessing it’s indeed 1:30AM, right?

  2. @Carla – You are a blogger, you should have registered through the “Online Registration for Blogger-Participants” link. I found your information in the non-bloggers’ form 🙂
