My summer this 2010 officially started in Cebu with a 4-day stay in Mactan and Sumilon islands. Together with friends, we stayed in the fascinating Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort in Maribago, Mactan Island.
We left Mactan yesterday morning and is writing this blog from the Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort in Sumilon Island, south of Cebu.
It’s been years since I’ve been to Bicol. I miss my heart-thumping first adventure swim with the ‘Butanding’ whale shark in Donsol and the short tours around Legaspi and Naga.
I’m reminiscing our tour around Legaspi’s churches, tourist destinations and shopping stalls. And of course the food spots.
Philippine tourism performed better this year in terms of tourist volume with Camarines Sur more than doubling its visitors.

Groups of bird watching enthusiasts and bird watcher associations can be found today at Balanga Nature and Wetland Park in Balanga City, Bataan where the 5th Philippine Bird Festival is being held.
“Ready, Set, RORO!” is this year’s Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) Interisland Race using the RORO transport system. On its 4th year, this annual adventure race aims to promote the road roll-on, roll-off (RORO) terminal system and stimulate the RORO way of transport among travelers either for business or leisure purposes.
