Travel and food expos are upcoming in the next few weeks of June! On June 12, Roam Magazine is coming up with what they call the “hippest travel fair in town“  – Roam The X. For the food lovers, Worldbex Services International is having their annual Manila Food & Beverage Expo (MAFBEX) from June 17 to 21, 2009.

Roam The X

In true fashion of the title, Roam Magazine will be holding this travel festival in no other place than Cubao X. Sago have been to Cubao X once and the idea of having this travel fair at this venue makes it ‘differently interesting‘, I should say. We usually hear these expos happening either in SM Megamall’s MegaTrade Hall, World Trade Center, SMX, and the likes…but this one is out of the box (I haven’t even mentioned that it starts 3pm upto 12mn). I think it’s more ‘hippie‘ in nature (rock!) :)

So where in Metro Manila is Cubao X? It’s the cozy laid back street loop with the 70′s theme somewhere at the back of Gateway Mall and Ali Mall in Cubao, Quezon City. They promise to turn CUBAO X into a huge travel festival.

People will think travel, speak travel, and breathe travel.” – http://roammag.multiply.com

The event will also host the launch of Roam Magazine’s second issue and the “Train of Thoughts” photo exhibit featuring works from executive editor Jake Verzosa, Veejay Villafranca, and Paolo Picones.

A mini-bazaar, free workshops on travel photography, travel writing, alternative traveling, and scrapbook making will be made available with the help of Travel Factor, Lomomanila, YTRiP, Certain Kind of Hue, Anak ng Kwek Kwek, Weewilldoodle, and a lot more!

MAFBEX 2009

The annual MAFBEX is known as one of the biggest food and beverages exhibition show in the country. As in the previous years, it shall be held at World Trade Center along Buendia Avenue in Metro Manila (WTCMM). It focuses on suppliers of ingredients and equipments, distributors, manufacturers, and retailers of the food service and hospitality industry in general.

And of course, the best part in food exhibitions which Sago loves is the food tasting. Haha!

Seriously now, food fairs such as this serves as a venue for potential clients  and buyers which help promote and stir the growth of both local and international food businesses in terms of investment and sales. It’s worth the visit especially if you’re an importer, purchaser, caterer, or any player in the food business.
