1st Philippine International Pyromusical Competition on Chinese New Year
eb.14 is such a festive day this year with the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day crossing on the same date. Add to that the upcoming explosive 1st Philippine International Pyromusical Competition 2010.

If you were left unsatisfied with the short-lived World Pyro Olympics last year, this year’s first Philippine International Pyromusical Competition (PIPC) might just be what fireworks fanatics and avid photographers are looking for. Back in the metro’s weekly fireworks central by the Manila Bay, this is made possible by Platinum Fireworks, Inc. and SM Mall of Asia.
With the aim of being the first successful pyromusical international competition in the Philippines, the 1st PIPC Opening Presentation will be held on February 14, 2010 (Sunday) with the Philippines’ Platinum Fireworks opening presentation followed by Australia‘s Howard & Sons pyrotechnics. The shows would be held 7pm and 8pm, respectively.

Other participating countries include China, Japan, U.K., Malaysia, France, Singapore, and the USA for a total of eight participating countries.
As host country, the Philippines will not be a participant in the contest proper. Nonetheless, you would see its fantastic display through the opening and closing ceremony presentations on the first and last day of the shows.

– 8:00pm – Japan (Tamaya- Kitahara Fireworks Co., Ltd.)
March 07 – 7:00pm – Singapore (RedHub Entertainment)
– 8:00pm – Malaysia (Pyro Splendour Services)\
March 14 – 7:00pm – USA (PyroFire Display)
– 8:00pm – Philippines (Platinum Fireworks, Inc.) – Closing/Exhibition
