“Why Travel” Blog Winners

Finally, the results for the “Why Travel” blog writing contest is here!

The scores are in and averaged together with our guest judge. The top four posts have really close scores with only .5 percentage points difference for some.

First, i would like thank our mystery-judge-no-more – fellow travel blogger Dominic of Dongism.blogspot.com. Dom has been blogging for more than two years now and calls his travel blog “Eskapo.” He features a number of beautiful Philippine islands including Cagbalete, and other local destinations such as Sagada, Baguio, Pangasinan, Ilocos Norte, Cebu, Sarangani, and Calaguas, among others. I’m was taking about a significant person that you need to know more than anyone else, his interests and dislikes, his strengths and the things that he need to improve at, most importantly to discover what does he really want in life, his goals and dreams that he wish to achieve. Now, I’m not talking about a knight in his shining armor, this doesn’t involve about having a romantic relationship (but if your suerte, it’s highly likely that you’ll meet the man of your dreams!). In my case I should use the word her instead of his because that significant person that I was talking about is no one else but myself.

First Runner-up with a score of 87% is

Travelling for half an hour (that’s Tagaytay) or a half a day (that’s Bicol) is really worth all that pain in the butt from that long drive when you get to stand up, stretch a little and reach new grounds. That’s when you can spread your arms to the sun and say “Ninoy, thanks for Independence! I’m free!”. Travelling is freedom.
