‘Let’s Go Sago’ Celebrates 6th Month Anniv with Bizu & Expressions

I had been a little busy lately with school, family matters, and blogger events such that it caught me unaware that today is Let’s Go Sago‘s 6th month anniversary since this blog site started August 08 of last year.

I intended to cook up something simple months ago for this milestone. Something like another small online contest, a mini food tour, or something like that.
But I guess I had been too preoccupied with other things including maintaining my self-imposed at-least-1-blogpost-every-three-days for LetsGoSago.net. Anyhow, I think I could still make up for it somehow since the whole of February is still technically the sixth month-sary. =) At worst, there’s still the first year anniversary which promises to rock the Philippine online blogging community. =)

Bizu Patisserie’s Fresh Strawberry ShortCake

I’m filling this post with two pictures of Sago‘s two recent blog events. The first one was the last food event held yesterday at Bizu in Greenbelt 2. It’s their sumptuous Fresh Strawberry Shortcake. Real strawberries on top and in the middle between genoise sponge cake. Yum yum.

Aside from the fresh strawberries, I think what made this cake especially appealing for me was its luscious Chantilly cream filled with strawberry slices at the center. Moreover, it’s only mildly sweet giving off a light taste. (Kaya hindi ka magsasawa)

Priced at P 215 for the personal size (top image), P 765 for Midi, and P 1,950 for the Grande (whole cake image), Bizu’s Strawberry Shortcake is definitely on the premium range but worth your money [P40-50 ~ $1]

Expressions’ Love Wall Campaign

The other event was on Expression Bookstore’s new ‘self-expression‘ campaign. They recently invited us to grace one of their branch in Makati and participate in their Expressions’ Love Wall activity. We wrote on their shop’s glass window any love-themed-messages using Expression-supplied multi-colored pens.

The image above with Sago was the illustration I drew saying “I Love Let’s Go Sago.net.” Yeah, it was kind of self-centered, but hey, give it to Sago – it’s his 6th month anniversary anyway. =) I even accidentally took home one of the Lotus Glow-Stix Fluorescent Liquid Marker they lent us. =) It was really unintentional and I intend to give it back, ok. =)

In relation to this, from February 1-15, 2009, any Expressions Valentine purchase gives customers the change to write on Expressions’ Love Wall – the show window, where customers can write their messages and declare their love, right at the Expressions store front!
