Starbucks’ Chocolate Hazelnut Chantilly [Chocolate Series 2]

5 days to go before the ‘Hearts Day‘. And the second to be featured in our Chocolate Series is Starbucks‘ new Chocolate Hazelnut Chantilly Cake.
To be released come February 17 in your favorite Starbucks branches, the richly flavorful Chocolate Hazelnut Chantilly is made of chocolate and Chantilly cream layers with a thick center crust of hazelnuts bits.

Although I found the combination of the aforementioned ingredients too elaborate for the taste buds, this chocolate cake may be loved by those who like their cake full bodied and heavy. Moreover, the dark chocolate coating gives it the exclamation point.

Interestingly, the cake which got the thumbs up in this post is the non-chocolate cake called Creme Caramel Cheesecake.
Much smaller and thinner in serving size than that of that Chocolate Hazelnut Chantilly, the Creme Caramel Cheesecake gains it all back with its awesome creaminess and taste. Succulent in every bite, just the way a premium cheesecake should be.
The caramel cream on top makes it heavenly. A must try. Perfect with a hot cup of Starbucks espresso.

Last among the three new cakes is the Honey Oat and Apple Loaf. The name says it all. It’s for the healthy conscience in you who digs fiber.

All three new Starbucks cakes Chocolate Hazelnut Chantilly, Creme Caramel Cheesecake, and Honey Oat and Apple Loaf will be available in your favorite Starbucks coffee shop beginning February 17, 2009.
