Starbucks Unveils Something New on July 2
Seven days from now, Starbucks will reveal a new set of iced beverages and pastry items to add zest in your Starbucks experience. On July 2, 2009, Starbucks Coffee Company will start to offer three new variants of Dark Roast Coffee Jelly and six new food items in its collection of pastry for Philippine customers.
Dark Roast Coffee Jelly
Starbucks introduces the Dark Roast Coffee Jelly line in your list of iced beverages. The three new cool options are Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino® Blended Coffee, Caramel Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino® Blended Coffee, and Iced Vanilla Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Caffé Latte.
Iced Vanilla Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Caffé Latte
An old favorite, it comes back anew. Starting with coffee jelly, it is followed by Starbucks® espresso plus milk and vanilla syrup then poured over ice. A cool refresher after a hard day’s work.
Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino® Blended Coffee
This one begins with a scoop of soft coffee jelly from Starbucks® Dark Roast, premium coffee and ice follows. It is then blended together and topped with whipped cream.
Caramel Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino® Blended Coffee
Similar to the one above, it starts with caramel syrup and coffee jelly followed by Starbucks® premium coffee and ice, blended together and topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle to top it off.
Sago favors the Caramel Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino® Blended Coffee (whew! that was long!)
Food Items
The six new gourmet pastry offering are: Starbucks Chocolate Marshmallow Cake A devil’s chocolate cake with chunky chocolate chip fudge filling. A very chocolate-y experience for the chocolate lover! The caramelized marshmallow icing however covers the cake with some guilt. Great with tea or coffee though. 🙂
Very Berry Cheesecake
Home-style baked cheesecake topped with a mélange of cranberries, blueberries and raspberries on Graham crust. Standing for its name, you’ll really get your berry-fix here. One warning though, it’s not your usual cheesecake on the sweet side.
Zucchini Carrot and Honey Raisin Loaf
The honeyed loaf is made moist with zucchini. Carrot shreds and dark raisins give it the crisp and texture. A good one for a quick snack.
Spanish Sausage and Egg Wrap
A flavorful wrap consisting of tender pork sausage, onions, and tomatoes seasoned with Spanish spices, cooked omelet-style and wrapped in a wheat tortilla with a big slices of cheddar sticks. However, Sago finds it a little too overwhelming in taste.
Farmhouse Cheese Quiche “Vegetarian”
You’ll prefer it warm, this unsweetened pastry-pie-like dish is filled with vegetables, cheese sauce & cheddar cheese, encrusted in shell. One for the herby-taste lovers.
Chicken Parmesan on Turkish Pide Bread
Parmesan crusted chicken and cheddar cheese on special pita bread that is crisp and chewy at the same time. Smeared with aioli and roasted pimientos. Best enjoyed warm. Yum yum!
