Lenten Meal Specials : TGI Friday’s (Part 1)

Today, Palm Sunday, specially marks the start of Christiandom’s last week of Lent – the Holy Week.
For the next 7 days, and as part of the Roman Catholic tradition avoiding meat products specially red meat, dining establishments usually offer meals that cater to this market segment. One is TGI Friday’s.
Two of the four TGI Friday’s lenten specials are featured today:
Crispy Fish Sandwich

The Crispy Fish Sandwich (P325) is a combination of fried white fish coated in seasoned crumbs and French fries. It is served on toasted Ciabatta bread, with tartar sauce, and vegetables including shredded lettuce, sliced tomato and melted Mozzarella cheese.
Sizzling Cajun Seafoods
The Sizzling Cajun Seafoods (P575) is a seafood-lover’s mix delight with shrimp, of course, white fish and calamari. They are all marinated in Cajun spice sauteed in garlic-butter with onion, carrots, and bell peppers served in sizzling style.

Sago gives the Sizzling Cajun Seafoods a thumbs up.
So you see, with food this good, meat lovers need not suffer from any week-long abstinence.
Check out the two other lenten meals special tomorrow that will make you want Lent to be every week. 🙂
* Prices are inclusive of 12% VAT and subject to service charge.
