Gloria Maris Dimsum Buffet

Just right after the recent Paul Calvin’s Buffet feature, Gloria Maris is now offering a dimsum buffet since Aug 30. They offer this afternoon dimsum buffet during weekdays 2:30-5:30pm.
The dim sum all-you-can-eat feast include steam buns, dumplings, rice noodle rolls, roasted meats and some sweet treats.

The photo shows siomai, hakaw, chicken feet, raddish cake, seafood roll, siopao asado, steamed pork spareribs, spinach cumpling, beancurd roll, fried spring roll, Sago favorite – butchi, and the Malaysian cake (custard cake).
Yes I tried a little of everything, almost. 🙂 Typical for the adventurous eater in me.

Century egg congee, mango sago and taho are also on the list.
Every week, short orders for Yang Chow fried rice, birthday noodles, sweet and sour pork, and Foo Chow Style Chopseuy will be changed for variety.

I didn’t like however the sweet and sour pork slices; it was cut too thin from the average. I think they sliced it that way with the intention of maximizing the serving.

The others are average but I do recommend the Japanese siomai, hakaw, and the special taho. We waited for the freshly cooked hot taho for almost half an hour. It was a nice conclusion to our buffet meal and worth the wait. More on the special taho (with video) in a future post.
The Gloria Maris Dimsum Buffet costs P238 per person. Yes, it’s an uneven P238. I’m not really sure why. 🙂

Gloria Maris Podium in Ortigas Center and Rockwell Makati are the only branches which offer the dimsum buffet at this time until September 21 30 (extended). You may contact them at 638-2905 and 895-9741, respectively.
